In March 2009, International Rivers published a critique of the interim report which the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Forum (HSAF) produced in January 2009. International Rivers found that the HSAF’s proposed approach falls back behind important standards and policies on dam building, and would disenfranchise dam-affected people.
